It's been a minute, but let's catch up.
Hey Y’all!
At some point in the last two years, you signed up for my newsletter on my website, lancymccall.com. I promised I wouldn’t bombard you with email, and boy… did I keep my word. You have seen neither hide nor hair from me since you first signed up! (Sorry, the Texan in me comes out from time to time.)
But now, I'm ready to start our conversation about writing, the tools we use for our craft, and other aspects of the author life.
If you haven’t visited my site lately in the Writers' Hangout, I’ve covered a multitude of topics while documenting my journey down the self-publishing road. I’m all about sharing what I’ve learned, so the people coming behind me don’t have to start from scratch and figure it out for themselves.
So far, I’ve written several pieces about editing, formatting, and publishing. And because I’m a lover of technology, I get into the nitty-gritty on applications that I love to use (like Scrivener).
My favorite articles are those that walk you through a process step by step. A while back, I committed to writing at least one of these detailed “how-to” articles each month. But I also get excited and post smaller “guess what I just learned” pieces whenever they strike me.

Debut Novel
Finally, the culmination of the last two years’ journey of exploring how to write a book… My debut novel, Left Turn, is out now. If you like contemporary romances with strong, career-minded women and handsome celebrities, check it out.
Next up is learning how to market that bad boy.
